I have not been writing much today, but I really don't mind. Today I was involved with a different type of book.
I made my daughter a Hen Night guest book. She gets married in July, and in the UK we celebrate the last few days of a woman being single by having a party of some description or go away.
My daughter has chosen to have a Moulin Rouge Themed night on the town. So it is feathers and fishnet tights, an Italian meal, then onto an over 25's dance club, where they have a room that matches the theme.
I cannot show you the book, as my daughter drops in and reads this blog. But I am pleased with it and there is a personal touch from my own wedding in it, which is now 30 years old.
I found that when I had finished it, I had unconsciously gathered ideas for my book. I had little ideas popping away like balloons. I had 10 descriptions to follow up on. So my little project has had a positive effect on my writing.
I am also reading different types of books. Many authors advise us to read things we would never normally do, get an insight on different types of authors and their thoughts. I have found new worlds, descriptions that take me to another place. I enjoyed a different type of book today.
I also appear to have lost my blog template, I have not touched a thing...mmm techno bugs are working overtime.

This is exactly what happened to me, except that my blog template went black as well! It might come back if you reload it. I hope so.
Sounds like a wonderful gift you've made your daughter and a fun night the "hens" have planned!
Did you lose you blog template? I was just about to say how nice your blog looked - so much more open and easier to read!
It disappeared Emm! I have looked at some new ones with a cleaner look, so might choose one of those.
