Meet The Important Ones!

Dreams

I have times when my dreams are so strong and clear, that I often wake up wondering if I really had dreamt what was inside my head or if I had lived it.

We all have dreams we want to forget or remember. Dreams of life goals are what I call ' our awake dreams'. One of mine was to write a book of poems and I achieved it. This week the dream exceeded itself, as I now have two poetry books with my name on.
Sticky Sandwiches will go on sale soon and I am sure I will let you know about it. LOL

Waving them in my face, DH commented on the fact that my self doubt about writing a novel is unjustified, he remembers me saying I would never achieve one book of poetry and now I have two. I love it when he reminds me of my previous years and hopes, it helps me shake myself back into motivation mode.

He also commented that he would never be able to write a book, it is not something one does, just 'knock up a book'. It is a skill, an art and you must have an in-built desire to do so, as he has no such ambition. How wise is DH? Very, he knows how to get this girl back on track.
I thought about these two comments on my previous posting too. They also motivated me into pushing the self doubt away and follow my next dream.

From Ratty
I'm sure you already know that the fear is a passing thing. This is an opportunity though. Just like you did in this post, maybe you could incorporate that fear into your writing. A strong emotion like that might be good.

From Marisol
Turn around and ask your fear, "Even if I never sold this, would I still write?" The fear is pointless. you'd still do it. Writing is in you.
I had a private message from my mentor Louie Jerome, basically saying the same with a bit of bullying added on. Seriously, the comments made were gratefully received and noted.

Thank You, I will continue where I left off.

Glynis!! You are so inspirational!!! Two books!! Wow!! Congratulations!! And do keep working on the novel, it's so exciting to be able to watch you create it right here on the blog.

Everyone has fears now and then. I think the key is to acknowledge them and find a solution to banish them and keep moving forward. Give yourself breathing room and then jump back in and keep working.

You're our heroine & role model and we need you! :D

Congragulations on your two books. You have done well, and only you know where you have originated from. These weaknesses are good, because they make us realise who we are and what we would like to achieve. We fly higher than our dreams in the accomplishment. This is what we are here to do afterall. I'm happy to have found your blog, and I wish you all the love and happiness in the world. The support will carry on as long as you continue to follow your heart. Kind Regards
