I am a great believer in turning a negative into a positive. This is my NEGATIVE writing list. The word negative is a positive in my dictionary. It is now on my pinboard and is my 'get it done' motivator.

What are the words that keep you focused on your writing?
Can one person make a difference? Hoping that someone will read Ambition to grow Read and gain inspiration Invite and share Time spent Yes it really was worth while
I'm waiting for my novel that's in editing; wish I'd hear where it's at. It would help me out of this slump I'm in, which is a writing slump. I want to begin writing a new book. What idea do I want to pursue? I needed this list of yours !! It's wonderful. Get Organised. Courage. Victory.
I haven't thought of a word yet. I like magicdart's CHARITY.
BTW I also like this picture of you and am glad you decided to publish it. Hooray!! And enjoy your day in your awesome surroundings.
Wow, what a great way to make negative a positive thing! I'm afraid I don't have a word like that - but I like to focus on my MC, and visualise a conversation with him. I picture him wanting to connect with me, and to be able to do that I have to write.
I like this. Your list is really good. My only word that keeps me focused on my writing is Emotion. I always find it important to put as much emotion as I can in everything I write.
Ooh Anne,it must be so frustrating, waiting for your MS to return. I hope the block goes away asap. Yes I uploaded pic after you mentioned it, Anne. Thanks Happy Scribbling.
Alexandra, it is good to communicate with your MC. Several people interview theirs. I think that is a great idea. Glad you liked my list.
Ratty, emotions are hard to control and write. I see the words in my brain, but getting them on paper is not easy. Have fun writing yours.
My word: Believe. Whatever you believe, that is your truth. If you believe you can do it; that you're good enough, the you will. If you believe you can't, then guess what?
I have to have many motivators and they have to motivate me on a constant basis, but I can't name what it is. You inspire me, for instance. I might read a post you or someone else has written that triggers my motivation, so thank you. I never know when it will hit, so I have no real control. Maybe that's why it took me two freaking years to finish my novel.
Elizabeth, thank you for the compliment. I get inspiration from folk such as yourself, I think that is the joy of blogging. We inspire and support each other.
I am in my second year of writing mine. I envy anyone who can do it in a month. We will plod along like the tortoise together. :) Take care.
Glynis, I love your 'Negative' acrostic poem. I'm going to use that idea in the classroom :-) Thanks for following my blog, I have a couple of little awards there for you: http://clancytales.blogspot.com/2010/05/encouragement-and-awards.html
