...written many, many words this week to get the novel alive and kicking again. I wrote 14,795. I still have about 10,000 to go, this will get me back to the 80,000 words I had before THE disaster. I became a little mind boggled, and decided to tackle the query letter and synopsis again. I wrote them out recently, and Nadine Laman offered to glance her eye over them should I need it. Now this offer came at a timely moment. My mentor Louie Jerome is poorly, and is not writing at the moment.
Anyway, I sent the query letter to Nadine, and she offered some great advice. I chose to ignore some of it and kept some, kicked it around the room a few times and hey presto it looked OK.
I sent it back to her and got, a positive response and poured a glass of wine.
I read it through again, wrote a bit more, cut and chopped and guess what?
It is done, dusted and filed! Thanks for your support and encouragement my friends.

Congratulations, Glynis. Query letter writing is only slightly easier than synopsis writing, in my opinion. They're both pains in the rear end.
Congratulations from me too! I hate writing synopses and queries. As Pat says, they're both a pain in the...
You deserve to celebrate. And Good luck!!
Good stuff, Glynis! And you'll be done with the manuscript before you know it.
Thank you, Thank you! I am so excited to feel one thing has gone my way this week!
I love the support and encouragement you give, thanks again.
Congratulations. What I'd like to hear is whether, after writing those last 10,000 words, the query stays the same or gets changed.
Wow, that's awesome, Glynis! Sounds like you're being super productive - can you send some of that my way, please? :)
Good luck!
Congratulations! But don’t file it – start sending it out to agents and/or publishers!
Helen, I don't think it will. The basis of the story is all there. The synopsis is going to change, the draft is sitting patiently waiting for me to finish the ms. :)
Talli, on its way! LOL
Jane, I will when I am finished with the rest. I have more courage now.
Thanks ladies for visiting me and for you encouragement. It means a lot.
Woo hoo. You rock, Glynis. To go back and finish after such a loss and to get your query done to your satisfaction. These are huge deals.
So happy for you.
Karen
Congratulations, Glynis! That's such a HUGE step :)
Jen
Congrats! That's a big accomplishment. Found your blog through Giggles&Guns, but I recognize so many commenters I'm surprised I didn't find my way here before.

Karen, thanks I am one determined lady at the moment. Tired, but determined.

Lia, woo hoo indeed! I think it is the hardest part. Thanks for visiting me today.
Thanks Jessica, your comment means a lot. :)
Amanda, thank you for the compliment and support. It was great to see you today. :)
Thank you all for taking time out for me. Happy Scribbling folks.
Awesome! You should post it for a critique. ANd pour yourself a few more glasses of wine. You've earned them.

Thanks Stephen. Will think about it, not sure how much courage I have left LOL.
Ooh, another wine? I don't mind if I do, thanks. ;0
