Dear Agent
I am sure you drop by my blog on a regular basis. You cannot resist reading my snippets or to check my WIP stats in the sidebar, and I thank you for doing so.
I do have one question for you now you are here.
When you move from blog or website of aspiring or published authors, do you ever contact the ones whose work reaches out to you? Or do you hope that you are the agent the writer will contact? Does your stomach do a Butterfly flip when you see their name in your follow box?
Do you wait by your email inbox in hope they have sent a query? Have you turned the inbox sound on, so you can rush over just in case it is them?
Do you watch the postbox in your coffee stained PJ's, just waiting for their query letter to drop on the mat?
Do you clean the house, walk the dog and take up exercise just to kill time, while you wait in hope?
Do you lay awake wondering if you have written posts on your blog or website with enough of a hook, they want you?
Do you stalk them on Twitter? Joined their Facebook page?
Have you left a comment with a link, just as an off chance they will click and find you?
No? *blushes* Just curious...I am sure you didn't mind me asking.
